4th Quarter Results 2008 Mix by BTreotch

Bumpasaurus was a Bad Motorscooter. An 84' Prelude with three separate amplifiers and two Kicker 10"s - it was loud as fuck. My favorite song to blast was the "Hello Brooklyn" section on the last track of Paul's Boutique, the 12 minute "B-Boy Bouillabaisse." It made black guys jealous. Bumpasaurus would love to get a taste of this mix - it's heavy on beats, from MGMT's indie dance schtick to Diplo/Santogold's Panda Bear remix "Lights Out". I don't know much about the Italian (?) Meg - Distante - she may just be a poor man's Bjork for all I know, but her pulsing album Psychodelice was one of my favorites. Flying Lotus' Los Angeles is a wicked take on instrumental/experimental hip-hop. Tow Waits' left a big mark on Man Man's Rabbit Hands, they made a fun album that borders on ridiculous. Blitzen Trapper and Bon Iver have gotten huge press and made several best-of list's, but it took me awhile to be swayed; Furr is a solid album, but For Emma, Forever Ago is a wonderfully beautiful piece of indie folk.
