Wook Patrol Podcast - The Archives from 2010


The Wook Patrol is a podcast that the crew here at Coventry record when we're in the lot at Phish or at various festivals.

Episode 1: Raleigh: Dispatches on Wook Patrol with Jonas (1:48) - The Joker and Pauly give the play-by-play of the shenanigans in the Phish lot at Raleigh, NC during the first leg of 2010 summer tour. While on wook patrol, Jonas and "WilliamMiller" caught a frat boy smashing bottles and were quick to intervene.

Episode 2: Raleigh: The Church of Joker (4:09) - Pauly interviews the Joker who recaps his first night back on Phish tour since Miami NYE. He admits that he loves Velvet Sea for the first time and was thoroughly enjoy the overall live experience, ergo the feeling he forgot.

Episode 3: Charlotte: The Party Bus and Supermodel Sex (6:53) - Pauly and the Joker recap the pre-party BBQ to the partybus to the Phish Charlotte show and back onto the party bus for a dance party. The Joker also explains what it's like to sleep with a supermodel.

Episode 4: Alpharetta: Don't Tase Me, Brah! with Broseph (2:04) - The local law enforcement were keeping an eye on invading wook who were trying to sneak into the Alpharetta Phish show. Pauly quizzes Broseph, our citizen reporter, who witnessed a tasering when a shady fan attempted to gain entry to the show.

Episode 5: Alpharetta: Southern Battlefield with Broseph (1:09) - Pauly and Broseph survey the scene in the lot after the July 4th Phish show, amid an onsalught of fireworks. Broseph warns us about the new Southern revolution.

Episode 6: Alpharetta: Trey Orgy (1:03) - Meanwhile in the lot after the July 4th Phish show, we conducted a "man on the street interview" with a female Phishead who explained perfectly what Phish is all about.

Episode 7: SCI Red Rocks: Friday Cheese Rundown (2:43) - The Joker interviewed Wildo in the lot of String Cheese Incident's Saturday show. They chat about the highly anticipated return show from Friday night including the mixed reaction of the MGMT cover. Wildo also shared his run in with a pack of "ravenous wooks" after the show ended.

Episode 8: SCI Red Rocks: Saturday Cheese - First Set Fire (0:50) - The Joker and Wildo are milling around at setbreak of String Cheese at Red Rocks and more than pleased with the first set of Saturday's Cheese as they quickly recap the highlights. "Much better than the first night," mentioned the Joker.

Episode 9: Horning's: Phantasy Wook (1:17) - The Joker interviews his buddy Jared about a game he's been playing called Phantasy Wook at Horning's Hideout, something that they just made up and it sounds like a great opportunity to gamble on wookish behavior during a festival.

Episode 10: Horning's: Wildo's Friday Recap (2:00) - The Joker chats with Wildo about the highlights of the opening evening of SCI's Horning's festival that Wildo describes as "The biggest family reunion... ever."

Episode 11: Horning's: Bob Horning's Vortex (3:05) - The Joker had a Sunday morning chat with Bob Horning, the gentleman who allowed String Cheese to host a festival on the park grounds. Even though he's on call 24/7, he tries to see some of the music. Horning explains that the festival has gone off without any problems. He wasn't surprised to see the "mothership" because the surrounding area is a vortex for unusual happenings.

Episode 12: Horning's: Magical Mars with Lord Farquha (2:35) - The Joker interviewed Lord Farquha who describes Saturday's events at Horning's as "being on Mars." Lord Farquha also explains the importance and significance of the emergence of the Cheese and the overall scene at Horning's.

Episode 13: Horning's Late Night with Mr. Flamingo (2:41) - The Joker lost his voice so he had Mr. Flamingo share a spun-out story about the happenings from the previous evening including the service dog they encountered aptly named Late Night.

Episode 14: Horning's Stuffed Animal Brigade with Roz & Alie (2:51) - The Joker interviewed Roz and Alie about their late night encounters at Horning's including a stolen golf cart, a drive-by raffle of a gangsta monkey, and an unresponsive fuzzy animal that they found.

Episode 15: The Greek: Cows and Discoball Hemlets (1:14) - The Pauly and the Joker return with a post-show episode. They chat about the Joker's encounter with the cow people while he and Carrie were rocking the Disco Ball helmets.

Episode 16: The Greek: Wook Patrol Update (1:34) with Benjo - Pauly asks Benjo to give him the run down on the wook trying to jump the fence in the back of the Greek, and the cops who were busting them.

Episode 17: The Greek: Setbreak Convo with Benjo - Pauly and Benjo chat during setbreak of the Saturday Greek show. Pauly quizzes Benjo about the funny snippets of conversations he's heard around him while waiting in line.

Episode 18: Telluride: The After Party with Wildo - Pauly and Wildo survey the bizarre, yet heady scene at the Coventry crew's post-Phish after-party that the Joker hosted in his condo.

Episode 19: Telluride: No Wooks, No Tour Dogs - When it started getting late at the after-party at the condo, the Joker went on an aggressive patrol and encountered a wook trying to enter the party with a tour dog. The Joker was not going to have any of that. Listen in as the Joker explains to Pauly what happened.

Episode 20: Telluride: The Ganjala - The Joker tells Pauly about his ride on the Gondola, which the locals refer to as "the Gangala." The Joker ran into the only non-herb friendly person in all of Telluride. Hilarity ensues.

Episode 21: Telluride: Late Night Patrol with Jonas and Wildo - Party crashers were the biggest concern for the mellow Tuesday after-party. The Wook Patrol was prepped. Pauly discusses the new security set up with Wildo and Jonas.

Episode 22: Broomfield: Bomb? with Disco Bret - The Joker and Pauly chat with Disco Brett about the oddities and unusual song selection during the final night of Phish's three-show run in Colorado at the start of their fall 2010 tour.

Episode 23: Atlantic City: Tough Ticket Saturday with Benjo - Pauly and Benjo hang out on the Boardwalk near the venue before the Saturday show, and they describe the festive scene especially the lack of available tickets floating around.

Episode 24: Atlantic City: Whole Lotta Zeppelin with Benjo - Pauly and Benjo catch up at setbreak about the opening set of the Saturday's show. The Whole Lotta Love bustout is all that anyone could talk about. They wonder if the Zeppelin song is an indication to cross them off the list of musical costumes that Phish will perform on Halloween? Or is the Zep bustout a teaser of what is to come?

Episode 25: Atlantic City: Bad Halloween Costumes with Benjo - Pauly and Benjo discuss the bad costumes that they've seen at Phish Halloween, along with a few of the notable ones around them.
