1959: The Year that Changed Jazz, Part 1

We're in the middle of Jazzfest. So what's a better way to celebrate it than to post a documentary about 1959? The year of 1959 is a high-water mark in which many jazz historians agree was the one of the most influential years in the history of all music. 1959 was anchored by the recording of classic albums by Miles Davis, Charlie Mingus, Dave Brubeck, and Ornette Coleman.
