Punk House Record Shop

My pal Mitchell is one of the many Phisheads from across the pond in Europe.  He has a new project that I want to bring to your attention...

Punk House Record Shop

Mitchell is a former punk rocker from the early 80s and lead singer of the DC10'S. Talk about being at the right time and the right place. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, punk exploded in Great Britain and Mitchell and his mates from Swansea in South Wales carved out their own little niche scene.

Punk House Records is a special label dedicated  to release the original demo tapes of bands from the burgeoning punk scene in Swansea from 1978 to 1985. Those bands included Autonomes, Lost Boys, Tunnel Runners, Venom and the Dodos, who were re-named The Urge.

As Mitchell explained, "My marketing slogan would be 'Never Mind The Music' i.e. these records aren't for listening to - they are artifacts, little works of art to collect and treasure."

I always wished I could have experienced the British punk scene at its peak in the late 70s. Mitchell's label will give you a glimpse into that vibrant past.
