New Phish Book: 100 Things Phish Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die

New Phishy book by Phishheads!

Jason Gershuny and Andy P. Smith co-authored a new book titled 100 Things Phish Fans Should Know & Do Before They Die. Relix editor Mike Greenhaus wrote the foreword.

The tagline on Amazon reads: "Few music groups have been able to sustain a fan base as passionate and dedicated as that of Phish, and this entertaining guide rewards those fans with everything they need to know about the band in a one-of-a-kind format. Packed with history, trivia, lists, little-known facts, and must-do adventures that every Phish fan should undertake, it ranks each item from one to 100, providing an indispensable, engaging road map for devotees old and new."

The book begins with, "Phish is a band, and yet so much more." And yeah, 100 Things delves deep into the "more" part.

Fun and breezy book for a new phan, but it's also nice walk down memory lane for long-time phans. It's impossible to sum up the collective Phish experience in one book, but this comes close to giving you the best of the best of the Phish lore.

Some of the main events mentioned in 100 Things... Halloween 1.0, Big Cypress, Baker's Dozen, Lemonwheel, Oswego, the Great Went, and IT. Some of my favorite venues got their own section... MSG, The Gorge, and Red Rocks. Lots of old school nostalgia like Secret Languange, O.J. chase, Amy's farm, and the Phish Destroys America Tour.
