This blurb on Gothamist made me chuckle: The Whitney Goes Hippie.

The Whitney Museum in New York City is celebrating the 40th anniversary of The Summer of Love with an exhibition called Summer of Love: Art of the Psychedelic Era which includes underground mags, light shows, paintings, sculptures, album covers, posters, and concert films from 1965. If you are NYC, check it out. It opened today and runs through September 16th.
