Wakarusa Preview

This weekend I am leaving the great state of Colorado and driving through the flat lands of Kansas for the Wakarusa Festival with 4 of the funnest festival people on the planet. I will attempt to do some sort of live blogging from the site. Here is a preview of what I will be hitting up:

Thursday 6/5
Buckethead
(10:00 - 11:30pm)
Lotus
(12:00 - 1:30am)
Everyone Orchestra
(12:30 - 2:00am)
Heavy Pets
(2:00 - 3:00am)
Future Rock
(2:30 - 4:00am)

Friday 6/6
Built to Spill
(4:15 - 5:30pm)
Cake
(7:45 - 9:15pm)
Panjea
(8:30 - 9:45pm)
Flaming Lips
(10:00 - 12:00am)
Galactic
(12:00 - 1:30am)
Everyone Orchestra
(2:00 - 4:00am)
EOTO
(2:15 - 4:00am)

Saturday 6/7
Ozomatli
(5:15 - 6:45pm)
Old 97's
(8:00 - 9:30pm)
STS9
(10:00 - 12:00pm)
Keller Williams
(12:00 - 1:30am)
Ozric Tentacles
(2:00 - 4:00am)
Tea Leaf Green
(2:15 - 4:00am)

As you can tell, the schedule is late night tent heavy...expect some spun out snarky blogging. The past couple of years Wakarusa has had mixed reviews, mostly having to do with the police prescence. We will be smart and I am looking forward to dancing my cares away for 3 solid nights.

pre BTS: you got Mates of State and Del the Funky Homosapien, they're good enough to walk over for, then Blackalicious post BTS

you got indie pop, hip hop and indie rock in one tidy little afternoon session..

Saturday at 2:30 the highly underrates 'The Gourds' - make Texas proud Joker !

and Dr Dog may be worth missing a few songs by the Old 97s

and don't forget that 11 am Sunday morning drum circle Brah ! Are you heading out early n Sunday?
