Austin City Limits - How We Wish We Were There

Even though The Joker and I are both from the great Lone Star State and have big crushes on Austin, we'll both be missing this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival. Not finding many, but some other folks are giving updates: playlist blog, austin 360 twitters; and of course the live feed.

This is first year I'll be absent since 2004; at first I tried to tell myself the line-up wasn't as strong as years past, but that's simply not the case. For those playing at home, my virtual Friday schedule would be: Vampire Weekend -> Del the Funky Homosapien (leave early to swim and get a close spot for:) -> M. Ward -> Jenny Lewis -> David Byrne -> Antibalas... Saturday: Get there early for Fleet Foxes -> Jose Gonzales -> Dap Kings -> CSS -> Go swim and eat -> MGMT -> Conor Oberst, stay and get close for -> Beck... Sunday is definitely the weakest of the fest: sleep in and eat at Magnolia's -> wonder around -> Gnarls Barkley -> Band of Horses..
