Hatsune Miku is a 16-year-old Japanese pop star who has performed to sellout crowds. She is also a hologram with a synthesized voice. It's an exciting time to be alive.
[初音ミク] in Japanese. I'm surprised that mention about her on this blog. I don't know much about her, but she is pretty famous and came from the ANIME culture, I guess.
It seems like something out of a science fiction novel. I thought it was notable because it exists today (didn't know) and thousands of people pay to go see "her".
