Today in Phishtory: 11/21/97 - Hampton

November 21st is a special day in the history of the Phish. Ten years ago, Phish rocked the Mothership with their infamous Hampton Comes Alive shows. Everyone still talks about those epics shows even one decade later. However, the boys also played Hampton the year before on the same exact night. The 1997 Hampton run was just as magical and included the first ever performance of Emotional Rescue to open up the first set. The band also embarks on an intense four song second set that features three of my favorite Phish tunes. Set 2 ends with a Rolling Stones cover - fitting since the opened the show with one.

Set I: Emotional Rescue > Split Open and Melt, Beauty of my Dreams, Dogs Stole Things, Punch You in the Eye, Lawn Boy, Chalkdust Torture, Prince Caspian
