Double Dip: Ride Captain Ride

Page tears it up during a cover of one-hit wonder Blues Image's Ride Captain Ride. As much as I dig Phish's version circa 1998, I stumbled across another cover that Blood Sweat & Tears recorded in 1976. Man, oh man! Not only did the BST's version include horns, but there's a killer solo from keyboardist Larry Willis. And yes, BST's lead singer, David Clayton Thomas, was the original hipster with a scruffy beard, graphic t-shirt, and a brown leisure suit.

He's no hipster... he's smiling and looks happy. Hipsters don't smile and certainly aren't happy.
