A proposed new federal law would curb ticket brokers like the glorified scalpers who froze fans out of a string of high-profile concerts by Bruce Springsteen and others.
The new legislation, announced by Sen. Chuck Schumer Sunday, would give fans two days to buy tickets before a ticket reseller can scoop them up.
"The bottom line is we need to create a fair system where fans get first crack at good seats at a reasonable price," Schumer said.

ugggh.. i hate fucking with free markets. i'm surprised Schumer thinks this is easy to implement - i don't know how they implement it - it will just turn normal individuals into scalpers - people will buy tix they don't need and resell them (to the scalpers probably)...
