Bios: Irongirl01

I was born October 1960 in the Bronx so I am a true sixties baby. My dad and mom were not hippies and were not at Woodstock. My earliest musical influences were Louis Prima and Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. As a tween I listened to Elton John and Jim Croce which in turn led me to other folkies. Then it was on to Janis & Big Brother and the Holding Company, Jefferson Airplane/Starship, and when I purchased my first Grateful Dead Album, Blues for Allah I was hooked and a long strange, incredible trip began which continues to this day.

Other then a perverse fascination with Rock of Love and Bret Michaels I have never been into heavy metal or hair bands. I remember where I was when MTV debuted: Tulagi's on the hill in Boulder, Colorado. Today, I can just as easily be found digging in the dirt gardening as I can be can be frequenting underground cardrooms or kicking back watching football or college hoops. I'm a graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder with two degrees neither of which I use today in my current job! I am a voracious reader of the printed word, and I love reality TV especially anything on Bravo.

IronGirl01 currently lives in Velveetaland just outside of Saratoga, NY.
