Phish embarked on a four month tour in February of 1993. Providence was just the second stop on that epic journey. Yes, this show is historic for a couple of reasons. The main one? The first ever performance of Sample in a Jar.
The other? A sick sandwich of Mike's Song > TMWSIY > Avenu Malkenu > TMWSIY > Weekapaug Groove.
The show featured a mixture of classic Phish songs and a couple of rare gems that fell off their rotation list at the end of the 1990s and during Phish 2.0. Some of those songs include Foam, All Things Reconsidered, Glide, and Lengthwise.
