Trey Busted for DWI & Drugs

Trey got nabbed by the federalies with some pharmies. He likes his Zannies! Here's what The Smoking Gun said:
Former Phish frontman Trey Anastasio was arrested in December 2006 by upstate New York cops for driving while intoxicated and illegal possession of a variety of medications (Xanax, Percocet, and Hydrocodone) prescribed in someone else's name. Anastasio, 42, whose real first name is Ernest, was nabbed by Whitehall police just miles from the Vermont border following a traffic stop. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, DWI-drugs, and driving without a license.
Trey has a new chapter in his E Hollyweird story. You're not really a rock star until you get a DWI or a drug bust anyway.

hopefully he will get help for his problem, and I am thankful that he didn't hurt anybody.

More details here

The chief said Anastasio was "very remorseful" and accomodating to police.

"He's a real nice guy," LaChapelle said. "He said 'You know what, I've got a problem and I've got to take care of it. Everything happens for a reason.'"

I wish we could have passed a few more questions to the arresting officer, because judging by the info Trey gave up he was apparently ready to be honest on any topic. Here's a couple to start with...

- You realize your new CD totally sucked right? You were really, really fucking high probably, right?

- That chick you're talking to in the golf cart (backstage at Limestone) in Bittersweet Motel ...she's acting weird, you're acting banged her didn't you?

come on yukon his new cd isn't that bad, but I do agree that someone needs to ask him some tougher questions, everyone knows he was strung out throughout all of the post-hiatus tour
