Want to exorcise those Coventry clusterfuck demons? Then head up to Vermont next Wednesday, September 14th to see Phish perform a special show to benefit Vermont residents who were victims of the worst flooding in decades due to Hurricane Irene.

According to Phish.com...
"Proceeds from the concert and merchandise sales will be directed to The WaterWheel Foundation and The Vermont Community Foundation to aid in the recovery of the Green Mountain State."
Get your ticket request in here.

Hopefully Phish will arrange a webcast the show so phans all over the world can help contribute to a worthy cause.

You would think they will open up couch terr. That's like printing money.

Yes, in a way it IS like printing money think I...until I think of all the gear that's needed to pull off a webcast for thousands of people! Besides for paying the IT guys you also have a LOT more gear to haul/setup, the venue or somewhere close has to have a LOT(!) of upstream bandwidth, etc. etc. It's most definitely profitable (after a payback period) but certainly not as easy as running off $20s on a Heidelberg.

They are still working the kinks out also. I had 7 server-broken streams 1st set Sat--but only one 2nd set. We shall see...

Yes, Vermont really did get hit wicked hard. This was a historic flood, which did damage like this, even after major flood control dams and controls were put on local brooks and creeks after the floods of '27 and the mid-'70's.

I'll donate to the relief efforts, but would love to do it with a webcast taboot...
