old school rare funk and soul mix: Hooptie Dug a Groove In It

Last year our friend racecar made one of our favorite funk and soul mixes - Hooptie Got's Ta Purify! If you missed it you can find it here. She has a knack of finding some really great soul and funk music, some of which you'll be familiar with, but some rare gems too. I don't know about you, but by this time of the Holidaze I'm ready to cleanse myself from too much food and noise from the family.
Download the mix and check out the 23 tracks here.
Artist List
Ann Sexton, Betty Davis, Ruth Brown, Staple Singers, Ike and Tina, Susan Cadogan, Funk Factory, El Riot, Hodges, James & Smith, James Brown, Cougars, Bill Withers, Betty Adams, Hot Chocolate, Lee Dorsey, Mable John, Johnny Goode, Johnny Soul, Derek Martin, Frank Frost, Sweet Inspirations, Viola Wills and Harold Alexander
